Strengthening in Perimenopause

ONLINE AND RECORDED. ALL WHO REGISTER RECEIVE THE RECORDING.

During perimenopause, bone, muscle and connective tissue strength can drop significantly.

Hormonal changes and the passage of time can leave women more vulnerable to injury and pain, make it harder to maintain a healthy weight and impact broader health.

It provides an in depth description and demonstration of the most important types of strengthening women should do to maintain their bones, joints, strength and resilience through menopause and beyond.

The Masterclass will focus on in 4 key areas

• Weight bearing strengthening

• Resistance based strengthening

• Staying strong and centred - moving well and maintaining postural strength

• Pelvic floor strengthening and control

Simple, practical examples will be provided, alongside demonstrations. Includes exercises which can easily be done at home with minimal or no equipment.

This Masterclass also incorporates a 4 step, graduated approach to strengthening so that you can be active at a level that is right for you.

It incorporates low and no cost ways to strengthen, and ways to do it whether you are in your home, outside or in a gym environment.

Whether you are sedentary and looking to find their way into movement, already active or looking to improve sporting performance, you will leave the session with the knowledge and strategies to support and maintain strengthening habits with a calm, positive approach.

All attendees and all who register will be provided with a recording, which is then available for 1 month, alongside an electronic booklet with key exercises, relevant illustrations and clear instructions.
